The Season:
Year round fishing for sailfish is available, although the weather is best and the seas are consistently calm, December to April. Roosterfish, black and blue marlin, tuna, and dolphin are also available anytime.
Boats: Our primary boats are 42’ Mavericks with air conditioning: The Spanish Fly, The Super Fly, and our new boat, The Dragin Fly. A selection of smaller boats are available at smaller prices.
The Tackle:
All conventional and spinning tackle is provided. Fly rodders are recommended to bring a 12-14 wt with a “billfish taper” fly line for sailfish and a good casting 10 wt for other opportunities.
Accommodations: A choice of small beach hotels with local flavor or luxury condos are available. Each trip is fully customized to your taste and budget.
Location:
After arriving in San Jose, Costa Rica, a private van and driver takes our guests to their hotel in Jaco’, about 1 hr. 45 minutes west of the airport. We are fishing on boats departing from the Los Suenos Resort and Marina. Daily transportation to the boats and return transportation to San Jose is included.
What to Do:
Volcano, rainforest, ATV and canopy tours. Manuel Antonio National Forest, Damas Mangrove Monkey tour. Hang-gliding, ultra-light airplanes, zip-lines, massages, and hanging out on the beach. Additional travel days and tours are very reasonably priced. We will be happy to make any reservations for you.

December – April 3 days fishing on 42 foot Maverick boat, 4 nights accommodations, all in-country transportation, some meals. Price: $1925/person (4 persons). May – November 3 days fishing on 42 foot Maverick boat, 4 nights accommodations, all in-country transportation, some meals. Price: $1100/person (4 persons).
Not Included :
Air transportation to San Jose, Costa Rica, tips, exit tax, tours, meals, extras.
Passport:
A valid U.S. passport is required to travel to Costa Rica.
Deposit Policy : $500/fishing day deposit is due within 14 day to confirm reservation. Deposits are nonrefundable, but are transferable for cancellations greater than 60 days.  Payment in full is due 45 days before departure. Reservations not paid in full within 30 days of departure are subject to cancellation without refund.
Payment: Checks are preferred. Credit cards are accepted but subject to a 5% convenience fee. Reservations not paid in full within 30 days of departure are required to be paid by credit card.
Fuel Surcharge: Our prices for the 2008- 2009 season are fixed on fuel prices up to $4.50/gallon. If fuel prices increase above this amount a fuel surcharge may apply.

Silver King Lodge
 
 
The Season:
Tarpon is the primary target of most anglers visiting Silver King Lodge. Good fishing is available year round, but the peak seasons are April/May and September/October.
Boats:
Comfortable, solid, 23’ center consoles with Yamaha outboards.
The Tackle:
All conventional and spinning tackle is provided. Fly rodders are recommended to bring a 12-14 wt with a 550 grain sinking line for tarpon and a good casting 8 wt for light-tackle opportunities.
Accomodations:
Silver King Lodge has 10 cabinas, each with 2 double beds and air-conditioning. A pool, jacuzzi, bar, and plenty of hammocks. All gourmet food and drinks are included.
Location:
We arrange pick-up at the airport in San Jose, Costa Rica and transport to a local hotel. Early transfer to the airport and air transportation to/from Silver King Lodge is included.
What to Do:
At Silver King Lodge there is not much to do other than fish, eat, and relax. To see a little more of the country, we will be happy to arrange reasonably priced travel days and tours.
